Manufactured around the mid-1870s fairly late in the separate serial number range as a metallic cartridge revolver using a mixture of remaining percussion parts on hand and newly fabricated components. It has a cone front sight, the one-line New York address, the two-line 1871 and 1872 patent marking on the frame, "36 CAL" on the left trigger guard shoulder, matching visible serial numbers, and varnished walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% original nickel plating finish exhibiting some slight flaking throughout (heaviest on the back strap), strong original varnish on the grip, mild chipping and edge wear on the fine grip, and general minor marks and scratches. Mechanically functions fine, but is missing safety notch in hammer.
