Description:

20,400 Model 1819 pattern pistols were manufactured by Simeon North in Middletown, Connecticut, in 1819-1823. This is the first U.S. model to use the swivel mounted ramrod, and they were used into the early 1850s. This 1821 dated example has the standard features and markings including a "JM" cartouche on the left stock flat and "JDJ/P/US" stamped at the breech. The top of the barrel also has a deep condemnation mark.

Rating Definition:

Fine with dark brown patina and heavy oxidation. The stock is also fine with distinct cartouche, light surfaces scratches, and strong oiled finish. Mechanically fine.
