This one has an "1813" dated lock and "1816" dated buttplate which is correct and noted as a Type II variation by Flayderman. Only 5-10,000 of these Type IIs were manufactured c. 1816. It has a bayonet stud on top near the muzzle, blade front sight on the rear of the upper barrel band, rectangular barrel band studs ahead of the bands, "US/eagle and shield/SPRINGFIELD" at the center of the lock, "US" and "P/eagle head" stamps on the barrel at the breech, cheek cutout on the left side of the comb, and a socket bayonet.

Rating Definition:

Fine with a dark brown blend of an applied lacquer and dark patina, vise marks at the breech, mild oxidation, cracking in the butt, small chips and scrapes elsewhere, and mild overall wear. Mechanically fine.
