Description:

Manufactured in the mid-1860s as a very close copy of the Colt Navy. Pin front and hammer notch rear sights, with the one-line New York address on top of the barrel, "NEW ORLEANS APRIL 1862" naval scene on the cylinder, and matching numbers on the barrel, loading lever, frame, grip straps, wedge and cylinder. Fitted with a brass grip frame and one-piece hardwood grips.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blued components have turned a mixed brown and gray patina with shallow pitting, hints of case color remain on the frame, and the grip frame shows a mixed aged patina. The grip is also very good, with some mild dents and scuffs. Mechanically functions, but is slightly out of time.
