The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .44-40 caliber, blue finish and type of stocks not listed when shipped to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis on February 27, 1907. Standard Colt marking including "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side of the barrel. Fitted with period replacement pearl grips featuring a relief carved steer head with jeweled eyes on the right side. Matching serial numbers on frame and both grip straps.

Very fine, retaining 70% plus original blue finish and 60% original case colors with the balance a smooth brown patina. The grips are also very fine with a few minor handling marks and a crisp carving. Mechanically excellent.
