Description:

Manufactured circa the mid-late 20th century by Randy Butters of Homer, Michigan, who was named "Spur Maker of the Year" in 2005. They are marked with Butters' mark on the outside of the medial arm of each heel band and closely imitate the style of Joe Bianchi, who popularized the bottle opener/Victoria shank. They feature Mexican coin double mounting, Mexican coin swinging buttons, bottle opener/Victoria style shanks, and unmarked Mexican eagle stamped leather straps. Heel band width: 7/8" Shanks: 2 3/4" Rowel diameter: 2" Heel opening: 3 1/4".

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall, showing almost all the original brown finish with some scattered light edge wear and handling marks. The silver mountings are bright with only the slightest age darkening. The straps show only the slightest wear and crisp stamping overall.
