Description:

Manufactured in the last 20 years by Bill Adamson, who in 2002, was awarded "Spur Maker of the Year" by the Academy of Western Artists. Adamson is also a founding member, hall of fame inductee, and past president of the National Bit, Spur, and Saddle Collectors Association. These spurs show lovely engraved silver and copper geometric patterns on the straight heel bands, swinging buttons, drop shanks with chap guards ending in 40-toothed rowels, and basket weave pattern stamped Buddie Foster leather straps made in Decatur, Texas. Heel band width: 1 1/8" Shanks: 2 1/8" Rowel diameter: 2 1/4" Heel opening: 3 1/4". Provenance: Joe Flores Collection, Bruce Bartlett.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining almost all the original brown finish and bright silver and copper mountings with only the slightest handling marks and wear. The straps have some scattered light wear and verdigris on the some of the fittings and crisp stamping.
