Manufactured in 1891. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent dates just ahead of the rear sight. The left side of the barrel is marked "32 Cal" and below that are several British proof marks as well as the "crown/V" proof mark on the left upper side of the receiver at the breech. The Rampant Colt is marked on the side. The top of the bolt is engraved "R B. RODDA & Co. London & Calcutta." The leaf of the rear sight is graduated to 900 yards. Saddle ring and staple are mounted on the left side of the receiver. Checkered forearm and plain straight grip stock with a iron buttplate. Consecutively numbered to the next two lots.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel and magazine tube have 80% of their thinning original blue mixed with a smooth brown patina. The receiver retains 80% of the original finish with scattered areas of flaking, wear from the saddle ring and overall minor scratches. The buttplate has a smooth gray patina and is a bit ill-fitting at the toe. The refinished wood has repairs visible on the wrist with minimal dents and dings. All markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
