Hooded bead blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear notch sights, lightly tapered barrel marked "No. 261 GRIFFIN & HOWE , Inc. NEW YORK" on top, Mauser Model 98 action with stippled receiver ring, rear bridge cut, drilled and tapped for receiver sight, polished bolt and extractor, Model 70 style safety, and knurled bolt handle knob. Very nicely figured multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with blue steel grip cap, raised shadow line cheekpiece, and lightly engraved, checkered steel buttplate with cartridge trap. The inside of the stock is marked "B. EMMONS" for Master Stockmaker Bob Emmons.

Very fine as custom built by Griffin and Howe with 99% of the high quality rust blue finish remains with some light handling marks. The Emmons custom stock is very fine with sharp checkering, attractive color and grain, and a few light dings. Mechanically excellent.
