Manufactured pre-1891. Beaded blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear notch sights, dual gold inlaid bands at the breech. Fine scroll engraving on the receiver with sculpted fences and hammers, two set triggers, engraved spurred trigger guard, and non-rebounding locks signed "MILLER & VAL GREISS/MUNCHEN" in banners. Checkered forearm with single attaching wedge, horn lever, sculpted horn grip extension, and well-figured stock with raised cheekpiece and engraved trapdoor buttplate. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 3 1/4 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches.

Good. The barrels have 80% refinished blue with some small patches of light pitting, mild edge wear, and small dings and scratches. The locks and receiver have an applied blue finish with well-defined engraving, and a gray patina on the balance. The wood is fair with chipping along the forearm edges and heavy dents and dings on the buttstock. The forearm has been repaired with an internal patch present. The horn on the forearm lever is cracked. Mechanically very good.
