Description:

Manufactured in the early 20th century and featuring a winged and ramped blade front sight, flanged section for rear sight or scope mounting towards the breech, textured top flat, diopter rear sight, "J.B. BRAUN" (right) and "KOBLENZ" (left) as well as "BOHLER STAHL" (right and left) markings on the upper side flats along with the caliber on the left, matching serial number, German "crown/N/crown/B/crown/U" and nitro proofs, wire inlaid scrollwork and "PATENT No 3659" (right) and "SYSTEM-STAHL" (left) on the frame, removable double set triggers, smooth forearm, and checkered buttstock with large cheek rest and hooked buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as period refinished with 80% plus blue finish, some minor pitting and oxidation, minor edge wear, and scattered marks and scratches. The wood is very good and has crisp checkering, light scratches and pressure marks, and minor edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
