Manufactured in 1958 and attractively custom embellished. Engraved scrollwork on a punch dot background appears on the sides of the receiver, breech end of the barrel, floorplate and trigger guard. The floorplate also features a gold inlaid stag scene. Hooded ramp and elevation adjustable sights, Winchester Model 70 barrel legend, Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver, jeweled bolt and follower, and Super Grade straight comb pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, ebony forend cap, cheekpiece, hard rubber Winchester grip cap and checkered steel buttplate. The included hanging tag is ink stamped "SPECIAL" and "SELECT WOOD." The original box has an end label ink stamped "SPECIAL" and "SELECT WOOD" and hand marked with the matching serial number, "#1 Engraved Low Comb," "Gold Inlaid" and "Deer," all features found on this rifle. Period Model 70 instructions are also included. Custom engraved and gold inlaid pre-64 Model 70s are rarely encountered.

Very fine as upgraded to current configuration showing the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The relabeled box is fine showing minimal wear. This beautiful custom engraved and inlaid Model 70 will look great an any Winchester sporting collection! A must have for the serious Model 70 collector!
