The rifle has standard markings and features and factory embellished with big horn sheep a whitetail deer scenes on either side of the receiver surrounded by flourishes of English-style floral scroll engraving. The fancy walnut stock has spade shaped, fleur-de-lis style checkering, a solid rubber Winchester recoil pad, and a small brass plaque inscribed "GJH/FEB/1983".

Excellent, retains 99% plus original blue finish with a few very light handling marks. The wood is very fine with a moderate ding in the left side of the buttstock, a couple very small areas of varnish peeling, and sharp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
