Manufactured by the Moore's Patent Firearms Company circa 1864 to 1870, this front loading revolver features about 25% coverage Nimschke-style floral scroll engraving on the frame. The top of the barrel is marked with the Moore's one-line address and the cylinder marked with the D. William's one-line patent date. The grips and grip frame have matching "BX7" markings. Includes an unnumbered original Moore's Patent Firearms Co. box.

Very fine, retains 60% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina mixed with an area of minor spotting on the cylinder. The frame retains 98% of the aged patina original silver plating. The painted grips are very good with some minor wear on the high edges and some minor dings. Mechanically fine. The box is fine with minor wear and retains most of the label.
