Manufactured in 1969 and subsequently master embellished for the 100th anniversary of Fabrique Nationale. Single bead sight on the matte vent rib, standard markings and Belgian proofs on the barrels, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and modified/improved cylinder chokes. The high level of embellishment begins at the breech end of the barrels with fine leafy engraving on the wings and light gold wire inlaid scroll at the breech. The receiver and false side plates are fully engraved with highly detailed broad leafy scroll work, fine gold wire inlaid borders, and sharp bulino engraved hunting scenes on the added false side plates, depicting pheasant hunting on the right, and duck hunting on the left. The tangs are engraved to match with a decoratively pierced-through break lever, and matching engraved trigger guard inscribed "One/of/One". The trigger plate is signed "CAPECE" to the right of the trigger. Finely checkered three piece forearm with matching engraved and gold inlaid fittings, and highly figured exhibition quality Turkish walnut straight grip stock with a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .546/.544 inch; minimum wall thickness .037/.038 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. With Browning takedown case.

Exceptionally fine as highly embellished by Master Engraver Rocco Capece and refinished. 99% of the deep blue finish remains with some light collector type handling marks, sharp engraving overall, and bold, complete gold inlays. The upgraded wood has highly attractive dark figure and crisp fine line checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with storage and handling marks.
