According to the included letter, this pistol was part of a 20 piece shipment to the Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri, on 11 December 1919. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent dates on the left side ahead of the Rampant Colt, the caliber markings on the right and rear-positioned serrations. Fitted with a casehardened spur hammer, royal blue small parts, military configuration slide stop, lanyard swivel, extended grip frame, checkered grips with Rampant Colt and Colt banner imprints, and a full-blue magazine.
