Manufactured in 1908. Fixed sights, with the two-line/two-block patent dates and address on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, and the caliber markings on the right ahead of the ejector port. The trigger guard is marked "VP" and "6" on the left side, with a knurled round casehardened hammer, niter blue trigger, unmarked full blue magazine and a pair of hard rubber grips with Colt banners and Rampant Colt imprints. With an English-style hardwood case, blue felt lined, containing the pistol, glass-bodied oiler, brass barrel rod (sans heads) and a wood-handled screwdriver.

Very fine, with 80% plus of the original blue finish, showing bright gray along the high edges, areas of brown patina on the grip straps and slide, and light scratches/handling marks overall. Over 70% of the fiery niter blue is present on the sides of the trigger, with the case pattern on the hammer faded but legible. The grips are fine, with some scattered dings and scuffs. The screwdriver blade is oversized for the grip screws, otherwise the accessories are in fine order, and the exterior of the case shows some scuffing and scratches, with the lock hardware removed from the main body. Mechanically excellent.
