According to the included factory letter, this pistol was shipped as a single item to L.D. Weed & Company of Savannah, Georgia, on July 19th, 1911. Among the record information are the notes "Type of Stocks: Pearl" and "Factory Engraved: Yes". Fixed sights and standard markings are present, with about half of the surface decorated with engraving. The engraving is primarily of punch-dot backed scroll work with occasional floral and diamond accents, starburst patterns on the underside of the slide and frame, zig-zag and dot formation on the grip safety, and additional burst patterns around the front sight and the rear of the slide. Fitted with a niter blue trigger and safety as well as a set of smooth pearl grips with Rampant Colt medallions.

Very fine, with 80% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing areas of mixed brown and gray patina, scattered spotting, mild edge wear and handling marks. The grips are fine, with some small chips around the safety and minor cracks around the screw escutcheons. Mechanically excellent.
