One of only 700 manufactured in 1939. Blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt ahead of the serrations, and the Colt Ace logo and caliber markings on the right. The frame is marked "69" on the right side of the trigger guard, "P/VP" on the left, and is fitted with a short milled trigger, wide checkered hammer, arched checkered mainspring housing and a set of fully checkered grips. Includes 2 extra magazines.

Very fine with replacement unnumbered slide. 95% plus bright blue finish remains with traces of edge wear near the muzzle, handling marks overall, and mild wear on the sides of the trigger with evidence of a trigger shoe which is now absent leaving two set screw shadows. The Colt factory replacement grips are excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
