Description:

Established in Vienna, Austria, about 1865 to 1880, known examples of H. Biedermann's work closely follow the designs of the Sharps line of pepperbox pistols in both overall shape and mechanical function. Dovetailed blade front and recoil shield notch rear sights, with "H.BIEDERMAN/PATENTE" on the right side of the frame in a circle around the grip screw, a matching numbered barrel group, and a steel barrel rod slotted into a pair of integral pipes on the left side. The grips are smooth.

Rating Definition:

Good, with 80% period refinished blue finish, showing some light spotting. The frame is bright overall, with a few dark traces (possibly silver) deep in the protected areas. The grips are very good, with some light dents. Mechanically needs adjustment.
