Manufactured in 1944. Blade front and flat top rear sights, with the two-line, two-block markings divided by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide and a "G.H.D." inspected frame with "X/VP" and "4" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a wide checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing, reinforced grips (right Keyes Fiber, left "5564063"), "L" marked full blue magazine, and a Flannery Bolt "F" marked barrel. Includes a reproduction brown cardboard box, marked with military nomenclature on the lid, a commercial-style instruction sheet, and a barrel brush.

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original parkerized finish, showing some bright high edge and cycling wear, and some shallow takedown lines. The grips are also excellent, with a few dings on the otherwise crisp checkering, and one bright screw head. The box is very good. Mechanically excellent.
