Manufactured in 1880, this revolver was part of one of Colt's first forays into the world of metallic cartridge revolver manufacture. With a multitude of cheaper imitations on the market, this line of Colt revolvers was eventually scrapped, with roughly 22,000 total being made in this caliber. The included relined case has brass fittings and a small "crown/426" cartouche on the lid.

Excellent, retains 90% plus bright original nickel finish with the balance bright where small patches of the nickel has flaked off of the cylinder. The grips have very slightly browned with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The relined case is very good with some minor dings and scratches, some dark spots, and a small dab of red paint on the front edge of the lid.
