Description:

Produced in limited quantities at the turn of the century, the Webley-Fosbery uses a novel recoil driven operating system. It has blade front and notch rear sights, "ARMY & NAVY C.S.L." on top of the barrel, Birmingham proofs on multiple components, "WEBLEY FOSBERY" on the left side of the top strap, an illegible marking on the back strap, and "301" followed by the "winged bullet" trade mark and "455 CORDITE" on the left side of the frame. A safety switch is on the left side of the frame, the hammer is checkered on three sides, and a lanyard swivel is mounted on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 80% of the period refinished blue remains with the balance a smooth brown patina. The grips are also fine some minor handling evidence and moderately worn checkering. Mechanically excellent.
