This is an excellent example of a 1939 dated Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig with the scarce "Eagle/F" Police proof. The top of the chamber area is stamped "1939" for the year of manufacture, and the large Mauser/Banner logo is on the front toggle. The scarce early, eagle "F" Police stamp is located on the right side of the receiver, and the commercial "Crown/U" proofmarks are stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The full serial number "702w" is stamped on the front of the frame, and "702" is stamped on the left side of the barrel extension and underside of the barrel. The last two digits of the serial number (02) are stamped on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. This beautiful Police Luger rig has an original all blued matching police magazine that is correctly marked on the pinned aluminum base, "2/702" and an extra magazine numbered to another gun. It is complete with a beautiful brown leather holster that is marked on the back "Kern Klager & Cie/1939/BERLIN/Police Eagle."

Excellent with 98% original blue finish overall, minor edge and high spot wear, and slight thinning on the grip straps. The Luger has all matching numbers. The grips are excellent with nice distinct checkering overall and some very slight/minor refreshing of the checkering on both sides. The holster is also excellent with crisp sharp markings, excellent color overall, tight stitching and minor handling marks. A super example of an all matching early Mauser Banner Police Luger.
