Produced without sights, a heavy rib/scope base mounted on the barrel and running back over the slide, two-line Hartford address on the left side of the frame, and "Team Colt" in pantograph script engraving on the slide. Checkered wraparound grips, with Colt medallions and imprints. In a blue Colt box with multiple hand written numbers, and a factory letter identifying the pistol as an early production experimental model retained by the factory. Though not described as such in the letter, the serial number and engraving could suggest use by the company for competition in the Sportsman's Team Challenge series of matches. Magazine not included (states this in factory letter).

Excellent, with 98% of the matte finish, showing some light handling marks and scratches. Grips are excellent sharply checkered. Mechanically excellent.
