Introduced in 1997 and available only from the Colt Custom Shop. The factory letter states that this gun was "retained by the Colt factory as a sample and display pistol with low serial number" (serial number 186). It features Elliason front and rear adjustable blued sights on a stainless steel barrel and frame with grip and thumb safeties, and a serrated "drilled" hammer and trigger. (Magazine not included and furnished without grips according to the factory letter). The left side of the slide is marked, " COLT GOLD CUP/ - TROPHY - " followed by the image of a double handled trophy. The right side of the slide is marked, "COLT GOLD CUP TROPHY MODEL" with the Colt standard one-line address and serial number stamped below on the frame. Complete with factory letter noting its provenance.

Excellent. There a few minor scratches and scuffs to the finish (mainly concentrated on the right side of the frame near what would be covered by the grips). Mechanically excellent. Missing grips and magazine.
