As confirmed by the included Colt factory letter, this pistol was an experimental prototype kept by the Colt factory. The letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length, finish, and black pebble grain wraparound rubber grips with Delta inlays. Standard markings. Includes factory maroon box numbered to the gun. Magazine absent.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% original blue finish with some very scattered minor handling marks and some minor slide wear (mostly on the right side). The grips are near new with only the slightest handling marks. The box is fine.
