Manufactured in 1919. The factory letter states that this gun was "a sample of a cutaway demonstrator display revolver, kept by the Colt factory". Features fixed half moon front and frame notch rear sights, six -shot fluted cylinder, and Colt checkered brown plastic grips. The barrel, cylinder, trigger, and top half of the hammer have been blued with the rest being left in the white. The left side of the barrel is marked, "POLICE/POSITIVE 32 POLICE CTG". The factory letter notes that the tip from the cylinder pin is missing along with the cylinder thumb release and screw assembly for securing the crane. The cutaway section is located on both sides of the neck of the frame in order to show the inner workings of cocking the hammer and the rotation of the cylinder. Complete with factory letter stating the revolvers provenance.

Very good, incomplete with 65% original finish. Exhibits overall scattered minor to moderate smooth oxidation of the metal surfaces (mainly concentrated on the top of the barrel and frame). The markings are clear and the grips are in excellent condition with a few minor scratches on the butt. An interesting display and demonstrator model with great provenance for the collector.
