Manufactured in 1978 and subsequently embellished by master engraver Ron J. Collings. The revolver shows wonderfully executed near full coverage floral scroll in a blend of English, American, and Nimschke styles with gold bands at the muzzle, breech, and cylinder. There are gold inlaid borders around the cylinder flutes and partitioning the frame, and high relief gold Colt heraldric logo on the recoil shield, serpentine Colt logo on the loading gate, and crossed revolver floral logo at the top of the back strap. The engraving is signed "RJ Collings" under the left grip panel. Collings completed his apprenticeship in England with companies such as Webley & Scott and Purdey before moving to Canada and later California to continue his career as a master engraver. This beautiful revolver certainly shows the extent of this artisans masterful skill.

Very fine as masterfully embellished by Ron Collings, retains 99% plus casehardened and blue finishes with a few scattered light dings and scratches. The loose grips are good with some light handling marks and a large chip absent from the right panel. Mechanically excellent.
