Manufactured during the early 20th Century in the style of Texas craftsman, Tom Johnson Jr. They are unmarked, as is typical of Johnson's work and display the "boot and garter-less" "gal-leg" shanks often associated with his work. They feature 9-toothed rowels, "gal-leg" shanks, engraved silver single mountings, and straight heel bands with swinging buttons. The straps are absent. Very good, showing a mostly brown patina with some scattered light pitting and some light wear and handling marks consistent with use. The silver mountings are mostly bright and the engraving crisp.
