The revolver was engraved at the Colt Custom Shop and features a scroll engraving covering the majority of the surfaces. The left side of the barrel is engraved "Buffalo Bill Historical Center/WINCHESTER MUSEUM/1 of 250", with scene of horse with rider. An engraved buffalo head is featured on the recoil shield and a sunflower pattern on a punch dot background on the loading gate. The gold plated cylinder has a band of scrollwork at the back and the chambers have a starburst and scroll engraved pattern. The back strap has Cody's signature. The ejector housing, hammer and trigger are also gold plated and the screw heads are royal blue with the remaining surfaces silver plated. Fitted with a set of grips with a scrimshawed portrait of Buffalo Bill on the left side and signed "TE/1981". Both grips have a Colt Custom Shop medallion at the top. With the commemorative case.

Near new with a limited traces of a cylinder drag line. Case is excellent.
