The left side has two running deer in a wooded scene and two standing deer in a wooded scene on the right side. The top of the receiver has simple scroll designs and a wavy line and dot design border. The trigger guard has a wavy line and simple scroll design. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates followed by "35 CAL." ahead of the front sight and the Winchester proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The breech end of the barrel has a wedge of simple scroll on each side and a platinum inlaid band. Folding combination front sight, adjustable rear sporting sight and upper tang mounted short range peep sight. Matching serial numbers. Mounted with a fancy bordered checkered walnut forearm with engraved steel forend cap, and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and checkered buttplate. The accompany factory letter verifies the caliber, fancy pistol grip stock, Lyman rear sight, combination front sight, engraving, #5 carved style (stock), that it was received in the warehouse on November 17, 1906, and shipped out two days later.
