According to the accompanying factory letter the serial number for this rifle was applied on October 6, 1908 and no other information was available. There are standard Winchester markings including factory oval proofs and the addition of London proofs on the barrel, receiver and bolt. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with factory hard rubber buttplate. In addition to the serial number, the lower tang has the non-factory added registration number "2130." The leather bound case features a lid with the initials "M.G.B." on the exterior and a paper F. Beesley of London retailer label on the interior. Comes with a box of Winchester .22 Short, boxed Lyman tang sight and patches.

Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish showing slight cycling wear. The wood is also excellent with some minor handling evidence and retaining nearly all of the original finish. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with a broken handle and some scattered minor-moderate wear. Nearly all of the retailer label remains.
