Offered here is a variation of MH&Co's medium frame double action revolver manufactured exclusively by Hopkins & Allen in the 1880s. Total production is estimated at a few thousand with .32 caliber being rarer than its .38 caliber counterpart. The left side of the frame is stamped "32 CAL 7 SHOT," and the barrel rib has the two-line MH&Co. address/patent dates marking. A lanyard ring is on the butt. "49" is on the folding hammer spur, the serial number is on the butt, barrel lug and rear cylinder face, and the assembly number "1448" is on the right grip panel and left side of the grip frame. Comes with a cylinder, 3 1/2 inch barrel, and a 5 1/2 inch barrel all matching numbered 14 over 723 to the butt number on the frame, cleaning rod and correct period box numbered to gun (faint serial number). The box end labels list the folding hammer, .32 caliber, 5 1/2 inch barrel and 7-shot cylinder.

Excellent, retaining 95% plus original nickel finish showing some scattered mild-minor flaking. The extra barrel is in equal condition. Much of the vivid original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with some scattered minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some minor wear and retaining most of the end labels.
