It has "EGG" on an inlaid gold oval on the flat bevelled detented lock, "LONDON" on a gold oval on the octagon breech section of the two-stage barrel, a gold band at the breech, rifled brass barrel liner, post/bead style front sight, notch rear sight, floral and martial engraving, a detachable brass mounted copper ball reservoir mounted beneath the stock in front of the trigger guard, silver wedge escutcheons and initial plates on the left flat and wrist, single set trigger, and a well-figured walnut stock with checkered butt. A brass mounted stirrup type hand pump for the reservoir is included.

Fine with all of the original gold inlay for the signatures, mottled gray and brown patina on most of the iron, pitting on the barrel and trigger guard, aged patina on the reservoir, minor scratches and dings, and crisp markings and engraving. The stock is very fine and has crisp engraving, strong varnish, and scattered minor dings. The lock is mechanically fine. The reservoir has not been tested.
