The receiver features very fine scroll engraving and has standard proofs on the water table and sculpted fences. The locks are also engraved with fine scroll and hunting dog heads at the tails. Wedge fastened checkered forearm and buttstock with silver initial oval and lightly engraved flat buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .767/.767 inch; bore constriction .010/.050: drop at comb 1 7/8 inches; drop at heel 3 inches; length of pull 14 1/8 inches.

Fine. The barrels have an overall gray/brown patina with crisp markings, some small dings, and strong visible Damascus pattern. The receiver and locks have 25% original slightly muted case colors with an attractive gray patina on the balance, crisp engraving and markings, and some light spotting. The wood is also fine with the forend tip replaced with a poorly fitted light colored filler, well-defined checkering, and small dings and dents throughout.
