This massive 4 bore double features a single brass bead sight on the smooth concave rib, 4 inch chambers with a single extractor, and "P-LEYRE/St. ETIENNE" on the barrels. The coin finished receiver features flourishes of fine scroll engraving, deep relief carved oak leaf designs on the fences, standard French proofs on the water table, dual triggers and sliding tang safety. The underside of the receiver is signed "Petiot M.O.F" to the right of the trigger. Smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with engraved fittings, Anson style latch, and smooth bare butt. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 15 1/2 inches; weight 13 pounds 10.4 ounces!

Excellent. 99% original blue finish remains on the barrels with a few light handling marks. The wood is very good with small dings and a few larger dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
