Offered here is a pair of consecutively numbered special order S&W Model 29-2 revolvers with Chief Crazy Horse themed factory engraving and accompanied by matching factory engraved Bowie knives. The included factory letter (photocopy) lists both revolvers with an 8 3/8 inch barrel, blue finish, custom factory engraving and matching engraved knives when shipped together to Gopher Shooters Supplies, Fairbault, Minnesota, on August 18, 1976. The revolvers feature near full coverage deep cut factory floral and scroll engraving along with an engraved depiction of the Chief Crazy Horse monument on the right side of the frames and are fitted with smooth S&W medallion grips. The right side of the frames are signed by Master Engraver Russell J. Smith. A S&W monogram is engraved on the left side of the frames under the cylinders. Each revolver includes a matching numbered commemorative Bowie knife with matching Chief Crazy Horse factory engraving. The left side of each blade is signed by the engraver, Russell J. Smith. The knives measure 10 1/4 inches overall with 6 7/8 inch clip point blades. Comes with a hardwood case made for both revolvers.

Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with a light cylinder drag line and limited handling evidence. The grips are very good with some crazing in the varnish and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The knives are excellent with light handling marks on the handles. The case is excellent, showing minimal handling/storage wear.
