Description:

Manufactured from 1914 to 1917. The Jager pistol combined traditional machined, forged components with stamped sheet metal and was designed with simplicity of production as one of the primary concerns. Submitted for testing by the German High Command, the pistol was ultimately rejected by the army despite at the time showing itself to be both accurate and reliable. Fixed blade and notch sights, standard markings on the right side of the frame, stacked "crown/N" proofs on the right side of the barrel and frame, matching visible serial numbers including the magazine, and checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 60% original rust blue finish, high point and edge wear, scratches and dings, and heavy handling marks. The grips are very good with small dings and chips and worn checkering. Mechanically fine.
