This is a nice example of a Nazi police "Sneak" rework Luger. The chamber is dated "1920," and the toggle is marked with the "DWM" monogram. The left side barrel extension is marked with the "crown/N" proof followed by "M85", the right side is marked with the "stick wing eagle/H" and "droop wing eagle/WaA 66" Waffenamt proof, and there is a "crown/N" proofmark on the left side of the toggle. The matching serial number also appears on the front of the frame, (with M prefix) and "85" on the bottom of the barrel, and on most of the small components. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and GELADEN" respectively. Police sear safety, straw colored small parts, stock lug, checkered grips and matching nickel magazine with matching aluminum base also marked "1".

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original blue finish with wear limited to the muzzle and high points. 98% of the original straw colors remain. The grips are also excellent with a few minor nicks and very crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
