Manufactured in 1936. Adjustable Patridge front and square-notch rear sights, with "THE WOODSMAN" on the left side of the frame and "COLT/AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" on the left side of the slide. The grips are checkered, with the right panel and the two-tone magazine hand-numbered to the gun. Included with the pistol is a brown leather Folsom/Audley safety holster and a Colt "black box", unnumbered but properly labeled, containing a small screwdriver, "Shooting Suggestions" pamphlet, a green hang-tag announcing the presence of a high velocity mainspring housing, a clipping from an unidentified 1989 periodical which appears to feature this lot, instruction sheet, and a matching numbered test target showing 5 rounds in or breaking the X-ring from a rest at 15 yards.

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original blue finish, showing some light edge wear and handling marks. Some rubbing from the holster retention hardware is visible on the trigger guard. The grips are very fine, with some scattered dings. The fine holster shows mild scuffs and dings, and the very fine box shows some scuffs, wear, and minor material loss. Mechanically excellent.
