Description:

This is an example of a pre-WWII German Nazi Luger pistol that was manufactured by Mauser in 1935. While the Germans were still paying lip service to the Treaty of Versailles, 1935 was the second year of renewed Luger production, as the Nazis already had designs on Lebensraum in Eastern Europe and payback against the French. Fixed sights, with the "G" date mark on the chamber, "S/42" on the front toggle link, "eagle/63" on the extension and barrel, and "stick wing eagle" firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock. Straw colored small parts, nitre blue springs, pins and screws, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with aluminum base. Excluding the hold-open device, numbers are matching overall. Included with the pistol is an extra magazine (mixed numbered, nickel/alloy), an unmarked takedown tool, and a black leather flap holster with "OTTO SINDEL/BERLIN/1935" and "WaA28" on the back and straps to hold a cleaning rod (not included) inside the flap.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, scattered pitting and spotting. The grips are very good, with dents, small chips and dark spots. The holster is fine, with some scuffs and cracks. Mechanically excellent.
