Description:

Both the combat trousers and tunic are constructed from dark blue-gray felt, with the tunic bearing a zig-zag stitched Luftwaffe eagle on the right breast, a dual chevron left sleeve insignia with alloy pip, a pair of blank shoulder boards with yellow waffenfarbe trim and a pair of "four eagle" rank insignia with yellow tabs on the collar; the combination of color and insignia indicating a stabsgefreiter ("staff exempted man", a senior enlisted rank) involved in either aviation operations of parachute assault about 1944 or 1945. The inner pockets and back lining are a gray rayon, with the left breast pocket ink stamped "43 43/30/58 66", a faint "R.B." number, and a partial "1943" stamp, and a pair of adjustable belt hooks are also installed. The combat trousers are marked "Ernst/Liebermann" inside the waistband next to a faint R.B./size marking, with black plastic buttons, white cloth pockets, nickel finished waist adjustment buckles and tie adjustments at the ankles for combat troops. Also included with the grouping is a 1944 dated German field dressing kit and a 1914 pattern Iron Cross Second Class.

Rating Definition:

The tunic and trousers are very good with some mild staining and wear. The field dressing appears unopened, and the Iron Cross has had the ring broken off and soldered back in place.
