Description:

Manufactured from 1894 to 1923, with many seeing use in WWII. Fixed sights, with the stacked cannonball Koishikawa (Tokyo) Arsenal symbol on the right side over the model and serial number markings, niter blue hammer and trigger, and serrated grips. All visible numbers are matching. The fourth variation sits within a very narrow serial number range of 58952-59183, as noted on page 17 of "Military Pistols of Japan" by Honeycutt. Honeycutt further states that this late variation features a rust blue finish as opposed to the normal charcoal blue, serrated grips, and is matched by the last two digits of the serial number instead of assembly numbers. Includes leather clamshell style holster and a copy of the book "Military Pistols of Japan" by Fred L. Honeycutt Jr.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 97% plus original rust blue finish remains with some areas of edge wear, traces of light spotting, and small nicks. The grips are also excellent with sharp serrations and some small dings. Mechanically excellent. Holster is very good with scuffs and scratches overall, partially separated belt loop, and some loose stitching.
