Coxe of the 9th Regiment is listed in the "Report of the Adjutant-General of Pennsylvania" (1910) and "Official Documents Comprising the Department and Other Reports, Made to the Governor, Senate and House of Representative of Pennsylvania, Vol. 1" (1913). Coxe (1874-1958) would later be promoted to major, retire from the Pennsylvania Guard with nearly 30 years, and serve as a public school administrator. During WWI the 9th Infantry was reorganized into regiment of field artillery (109th) assigned to the 28th Division, seeing combat on the Western Front in France, and Coxe commanded the Second Battalion.

Excellent, retaining 95% original bright blue finish with the grip strap thinning to a brown and some minor high edge wear. 85% original niter blue remains on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
