Manufactured in 1934, the first year of .38 Colt Super Match production. Fixed blade front and flattop square notch rear sight on the matching serialized slide marked "MATCH" above the caliber marking on the right and the two-line Colt address and patent dates on the left. Blue barrel with a factory polished chamber marked "38 COLT" on top with a circled "MB" match barrel marking on the left side of the lug. Short checkered milled trigger, checkered magazine catch, slide stop, fire blue wide hammer, long grip safety, and an arched checkered mainspring housing. Fitted with fully checkered grips and a post-war production replacement magazine marked "COLT SUPER/38 AUTO" flanked by the Rampant Colt and the letter "M".

Very fine. 80% original high polish blue finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, some scattered surface scratches, and a mottled gray/blue patina on the front grip strap and mainspring housing. The rear sight is a replacement. The grips are very fine with crisp checkering and some small dents. Mechanically excellent.
