Description:

Produced in 1927. Blade front and notch rear sights on the matching numbered slide with the two-line address and patent dates on the left side, "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE 45" and the Rampant Colt on the right side ahead of the ejector port. Standard markings on the right side of the frame, and "1" and "VP" on the left side of the trigger guard and "51" on the right. Wide checkered hammer, short milled trigger, extended grip safety, checkered slide stop, thumb safety and magazine catch, and checkered arched mainspring housing with lanyard ring. Grips are checkered walnut, and the 2-tone magazine is unmarked.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 80% plus of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, a smooth gray and brown patina on the grip straps, and minor handling marks overall. Grips are very good, with some smoothing of the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
