Description:

Manufactured in 1917. The slide has the two-line/two-block address and patent dates on the left side ahead of the Rampant Colt, and the caliber marking on the right. The frame is marked "VP" and "x" on the trigger guard, with a flat top rear sight, checkered slide stop, wide hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing, checkered grips with diamond flats, unmarked later production replacement two-tone magazine and a barrel marked "P" on the underside.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing a small area of brown patina on the front left side of the slide, some light edge wear, and handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with some nicks on the light checkering. Mechanically excellent.
