Manufactured 1979 with standard markings and features along with factory class "C" Nimschke-style engraving. According to Wilkerson on page 215 of "The Post-War Colt Single-Action Revolver 1976-1986", only 7% of the third generation factory engraved revolvers were chambered in .44 special, and only 35% were nickel finished, making this revolver quite rare. The grips have brass "Colt Custom" medallions, and the grip strap is marked "COLT ENG" under the left panel.

Excellent, retains 98% original nickel finish with a few light handling marks and a few patches of frost. The grips are very fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches, and a small chip near the bottom of the right panel. Mechanically excellent.
