Manufactured in 1964, this rifle shows many of the early features for the AR-15 rifle. Three prong flash hider, post front sight on the gas block with bayonet lug, ventilated triangular handguard, standard markings on the lower receiver, A1 pattern upper without deflector or forward assist, correct un-serrated bolt, adjustable two leaf rear peep sight on the handle, checkered grip, and fixed buttstock with a ribbed solid rubber buttplate. The interior features a chromed bolt head, early large style hammer pocket, and an early multi-piece buffer assembly. A black sling is included.
Excellent, with 98% original matte gray finish, showing some minor edge wear and handling marks overall. A few minor scuffs and rubs are present on the stock. Mechanically excellent.
